Local Student Arrested after Florida Shooting Post

( Ross Twp ) - A student who attends Ross High School was arrested Thursday morning following social media posts that police believe were threatening.

A statement from the school says police Wednesday night were told about posts that a Ross High School student made online. Coordinating with the school, Ross Police took the teen into custody around 6:30 Thursday morning.

Since then, the school says staff have met and discussed their questions and concerns.

Principal Brian Martin says another student noticed the post and told their parents, who then contacted police and the school. Martin goes on to say "that is exactly what we want to happen."

The student suspect is in the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center, charged with inducing panic.
