(Walton, KY) -- Who killed Gunner? Northern Kentucky authorities are looking for the person who killed a disabled veteran's service dog.
The family of Bryan Vallandingham says Gunner was shot in the head and dumped on railroad tracks this week in Walton. Gunner's death may be connected to several phone calls to the family over the past two weeks in which someone demanded money in exchange for the dog.
The three-year-old husky was trained to help alert Vallandingham's family if he was suffering a seizure.
The family says the dog was stolen from their yard two weeks ago.
