Man Convicted in 2016 Christmas Murder

( Warren County ) - The prosecutor says a Lebanon man was paranoid on methamphetamines when he killed a man in Carlisle on Christmas Day, 2016.

On Thursday, a Warren County jury convicted 26-year-old Zachary Wilson of multiple charges, including murder, in the shooting death of 24-year-old Jeremy Foxx in Carlisle.

Wilson and Foxx had allegedly been doing meth for days, and went driving in search of more drugs. The prosecutor says Wilson was in the midst of a "meth-fueled paranoia" when he shot Foxx multiple times with an AK-47 pistol that was under the driver's seat. Wilson allegedly told police he thought Foxx was reaching for a gun, but later said Foxx never threatened him.

One of the bullets was fired into a home nearby.

A statement from the prosecutor says Wilson then kicked Foxx's body into the street, and Wilson and another person in the car later burned their clothing. Wilson allegedly used spray paint to cover up blood in the car, welded a ladder rack onto it as a disguise, then fled to Kentucky.

Wilson will be sentenced at a later date.
