( Clermont County ) - Sheriff Robert Leahy says a man who was already in the Clermont County jail is now under indictment on counts including conspiracy to commit murder and attempted aggravated murder.
38-Year-Old Joseph Addison (pictured) is accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl over a period of several years. The sheriff says an inmate contacted corrections officers on January 22, to say that Addison solicited him to kill that girl, her guardian, and three other potential witnesses in the case to prevent them from testifying against him.
A statement from the sheriff's office says Addison was indicted Thursday on those new conspiracy and attempted murder charges. He'll be arraigned on Friday.
Addison has been segregated from the rest of the jail population and is only allowed to use the phone to speak with his attorney.
