(Butler County) He's accused of holding a child hostage during a 30-hour standoff with police. Now bond for 31-year-old Donald Gazaway has been set at just over $1 million.
Investigators say Gazaway used a 10-year-old boy as a human shield as he fired 20 to 30 shots at police who surrounded a Liberty Township apartment. He eventually surrendered when a car he had been sitting in with the boy ran out of gas.
Gazaway is charged with kidnapping, felonious assault and inducing panic.
