(700 WLW)- Boone County, Kentucky has declared a LEVEL ONE SNOW EMERGENCY, starting late Monday into early Tuesday morning. A LEVEL ONE SNOW EMERGENCY IS DEFINED AS: MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO USE CAUTION DUE TO HAZARDOUS ROAD CONDITIONS RESULTING FROM ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW AND/OR ICE. Citizens should contact their employer to determine whether they should report to work. This snow emergency does not prohibit travel to and from work. During snow emergencies, where snowfall is 2” or greater, it will be required that motor vehicles not be parked or abandoned on streets or roadways, so as to impede the removal of snow or ice.
Also officials in Dearborn County has issued a Yellow Travel Advisory until further notice. A Yellow travel advisory means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.
