Police: Multiple Cars Left Running Stolen Tuesday

( Cincinnati ) - Police are putting out a warning about leaving cars running with keys in the ignition.

With record cold temperatures continuing, more people are trying to warm up their vehicles before getting on the road, and that's led to a local spike in car thefts.

In one case, late Tuesday morning, police say a car with a child inside was stolen. That happened around 11am near the intersection of Glenmore and Montana in Western Hills. Police say the driver's 7-year-old grandchild was in the vehicle when a suspect hopped in and drove off. That child was safely dropped off nearby, but the car is still missing.
