Jeff Berding: "MLS Opportunity Still Very Competitive"

( Cincinnati, OH ) - Relax and enjoy the holidays. That's the message from FC Cincinnati President Jeff Berding. 

He spoke to 700 WLW's Bill Cunningham Wednesday, and said he's still confident in the city's bid after Major League Soccer awarded a franchise to Nashville. 

Berding put out a message to FC Cincinnati supporters on Twitter: "Our MLS opportunity is still very competitive. The expansion franchise award was not as simple as a meeting then announcement. It is a process & involves ongoing communication."

Reports are that a decision on a second MLS expansion franchise isn't expected until January.
