(700 WLW)- Firefighters were dispatched to 2521 Flanigan Ct. in College Hill for a reported apartment fire with people trapped on the second floor, early Wednesday morning. On arrival, a "working fire" was discovered in a first floor apartment near the kitchen area. There were two individuals trapped in the rear of a second floor apartment. Ground ladders were placed to the rear window, however the individuals were sheltered-in-place in their apartment until the smoke cleared. Fire damage was confined to the one apartment. Two adults and three children were displaced with an estimated damage of $10,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
