(Charlottesville, VA) -- New, more serious charges are being filed against the former northern Kentucky man accused of driving a car into a crowd during a white nationalist rally in Virginia.
On Thursday, Prosecutors upgraded a second-degree murder charge against James Alex Fields to first-degree murder.
The Cooper High School graduate is accused of plowing into counter protesters in Charlottesville in August, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer and injuring several others.
