Charges in Middletown Overdose Death

(Middletown) The chief of police in Middletown says the the response has been overwhelming. The department has put a video on Facebook showing all the donations that have been given for nine children who lost their mother to a drug overdose.

Officers were called to the home of Jamita Sanders Wednesday night. They say she had overdosed with the children, ages 1-to-14, in the home.

Police have now signed arrest warrants for the two men they believe were there at the time. 32-year-old Keith Boyer and 63-year-old Jim Boyer are charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and nine counts of child endangering.

Investigators say they took money from the dying woman, told the kids they were leaving to go buy soda and never returned.
