(Newport) Police say the cab was parked with a passenger in the back seat. Investigators are trying to find the suspect who shot and killed a taxi driver in Newport.
Police say 38-year-old David DePhillips had stopped his cab at East 10th and Washington when a shot came through the driver's side window. DePhillips tried to take off, but stopped about a block away. He was taken to the hospital where he died.
