UPDATE: Suspect in Shooting of Lachey's Worker Indicted, Arrested

UPDATE: Cincinnati Police say Lavoris Hightower turned himself in on Thursday.

ORIGINAL STORY:
( Over-the-Rhine ) - A Hamilton County grand jury has indicted the man police say shot a young woman early Thanksgiving morning.

A statement from Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters says that Elizabeth Richardson was leaving Lachey's, where she works, just before 3:30am when she was nearly struck by a van driven by Hightower. When she approached the van, Hightower allegedly shot her in the face and then drove off. A few days later, police seized the van. Hightower was indicted on multiple counts on Thursday, but he's not yet in custody.

Prosecutor Joe Deters says there's a $5,000 reward for information that leads to Hightower's arrest.

Richardson has since been released from the hospital, but she's still recovering from that gunshot wound. There's a YouCaring account that's taking donations to help with her recovery. Also, Lachey's owners, Nick and Drew Lachey, have announced a 98 Degrees benefit concert later this month to help Richardson as well.
