Avoid Northbound 71 at the Lytle Tunnel tonight.

(Cincinnati, Oh.)-- Construction on I-71 will force the northbound lanes on the the Interstate to close at the I-71/75 split, at Ohio exit No. 1.

All traffic will be diverted to northbound I-75 and detoured across eastbound SR 562 to I-71. The closure will be in effect from 10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29. 

In addition, along eastbound Fort Washington Way (I-71/U.S. 50), there will be no access into the Tunnel; U.S. 50 will remain open.

The right lane of northbound I-71 and the Fifth Street and Second Street on-ramps to northbound I-71 will also be closed from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday. 

Paving work will also be restricting traffic in Butler County tonight. Various lane closures will happen on southbound I-75 from Union Center to I-275 between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zones.
