(700 WLW)- The Cincinnati Emergency Communications Center received a call reporting a fire on the second floor of 1555 Donaldson Place, located in the Northside neighborhood. Upon the arrival of fire companies, smoke was found coming from the attic space of a one and a half story single family private dwelling. Fire companies conducted aggressive, offensive firefighting operations, bringing the fire under control within twenty minutes. The occupants of the building safely evacuated prior to the arrival of the fire department, and searches of the building were negative. There were smoke detectors present, however were not operating. Four adults have been displaced and will be staying with family. The cause is currently under investigation by the Fire Investigation Unit. Damage is estimated at $100,000.
