( Cincinnati, OH ) - Update 11\23 9:52am: Spokesperson for the University of Cincinnati says, "I cannot confirm the rumors you are hearing."
Again our sources are saying more information on the status on Anthony Carter is expected to come out after the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.
----------------------
Sources are telling 700WLW that University of Cincinnati Police Chief Anthony Carter has been fired. We have reached out to the University, but no one has responded.
No reason has been given for Carter's termination. A source close to the situation says more information is expected to be released on Monday.
Carter, a 34 year vet, served with the Cincinnati Police Department from 1989-2012. He was hired by UC in June of 2016 to replace Jason Goodrich.
Goodrich resigned during an external review of the department, a few months after the shooting death of Samuel Dubose by then UC Police Officer Ray Tensing.
We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
