(700 WLW)- On Sunday just before 1AM the Cincinnati Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to 2222 Harrison Avenue to investigate a fatal traffic crash.
27 year old, Ousmane Soumare, was operating a 2006 Dodge Stratus, traveling east on Harrison Avenue. Lamine Ba, was a front seat passenger in the Dodge. 65 year old, Paul Byers was operating a 2000 Toyota Tacoma, traveling west on Harrison Avenue. Mr. Soumare lost control of his vehicle, traveled left of the marked double yellow center-line and struck the Toyota.
Mr. Soumare and Mr. Ba succumbed to their injuries at the crash scene. Mr. Byers sustained minor injuries and was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Excessive speed and impairment do not appear to be factors in this crash.
