Thanksgiving meal distribution begins at Freestore Foodbank

(Cincinnati, Oh.)--The Freestore Foodbank have started their Thanksgiving meal distribution. Last year, they saw about 30,000 people and this year, they're anticipating a 10% increase.

Freestore Foodbank President Kurt Reiber says they have increased their hours of distribution as to reach more people who are working.

The boxes will be handed out at the Freestore's Customer Connection Center on Liberty Street. Distribution hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 8 to noon on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, more than 100,000 people will have Thanksgiving meals this week, thanks to the generosity of Greater Cincinnati residents.

Long lines of cars pulled up to Crossroads Church locations yesterday for the annual Thanksgiving food drive.

Organizers say they collected 14-thousand turkeys and other food items to pack boxes for the less fortunate in the region.
