( Union Twp, Ohio ) - A stretch of I-275 in Clermont County was shut down for hours Friday night into Saturday morning as Ohio State troopers and the coroner dealt with the aftermath of a crash.
A statement from the Ohio State Highway Patrol says they were called to I-275 at the 60 milemarker, just south of the Milford Parkway exit, just before 9pm on Friday. According to investigators, 67-year-old Billie S Finnell of Elsmere, Kentucky, was driving her pickup truck southbound when it broke down in the left lane. A southbound car crashed into the disabled truck as Ms Finnell was outside standing in front of it. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say they believe that alcohol and/or drugs played a factor in the crash, but no charges have been filed at this time.
