Major Retailers Still Hiring Seasonal Workers

(Undated)  --  Major retailers are still doing holiday hiring even though the holiday hiring season kicked off a month ago.

Retailers like Toys-R-Us, JC Penny and Kohl's are still looking for temporary help.  Peter Harrison is the CEO of Snag-a-job, an agency that matches hourly workers with employers who need them.  He says market conditions are positive for many seasonal workers this year, even calling the holiday hiring period a "three-month job interview" for more permanent positions.

The hiring surge comes as the Holiday shopping season is also getting off to an early start. Some retailers are offering deals before Black Friday essentially turning the one day, after Thanksgiving, sales event into Black Friday season.

Even with a longer shopping season you don't have to worry about buying something only to see the price drop later as many retailers, have a price guarantee: meaning they'll refund you the difference if something you buy gets a price cut. There are also apps you can use to price check after a purchase automatically, like Paribus and Earny

But you may want to act fast to nab some of the season's hottest items as dealnews.com has a list of the items they think may be hard to find. They include gaming consoles like: Xbox One X, Nintendo Switch and the SNES Classic.

But shoppers are reminded If you see a deal on a must have item now, buy it, deal or no deal, as some hot toys will sell out long before Christmas Eve.
