(Cambridge, OH) -- Cambridge, Ohio is honoring John Glenn.
New Concord is officially known as the home town of the famous astronaut, but few know he was actually born in Cambridge. Late this week the city unveiled a marker commemorating Cambridge as his birthplace.
The marker is a collaborative effort between the city and the John and Annie Glenn Museum. The sign took about six months to plan and design after a New York graduate student realized there was nothing to honor the role of Cambridge in John Glenn's story.
The new sign is proudly displayed on Interstate 70.
