Rates of Insomnia and Depression Increases After Time Change

(Cincinanti, Oh)--Most of us are struggling with the change from Daylight Saving Time as the work week begins.

People in every state except Arizona and Hawaii set their clocks back an hour yesterday.

Today, according to studies in the U.S. and Australia, they'll try to overcome the effects of insomnia or sleepiness, depression, and a rise in suicide rates.

Meanwhile the State Fire Marshal's Office says it's a good time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors. The office says It's something many of us forget to do and making it part of our time change routine can be a way to remember as having a working smoke detector in you home can save your life.
