(Springfield Township) A Springfield Township Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee driven by a Ronald Foster for a witnessed traffic violation Sunday around 1:30 p.m. Foster came to a stop in the Kroger’s parking lot located at 8241 Vine St. After Foster came to a stop he exited the vehicle, produced a firearm, and fired one shot at the officer. The officer returned fire. Foster fled on foot into a wooded area to the rear of the store, where officers lost sight of him. Foster is currently wanted for Felonious Assault in connection with this offense.
