KY School Crossing Guard Hit In Front Of Students

(700 WLW)- A crossing guard in Fort Thomas, Kentucky was struck Thursday morning while on duty in front of Ruth Moyer Elementary. Police say a 77 year old driver did not see the crossing guard and struck longtime crossing guard, Mike Redmond. Redmond was transported to a local hospital and will be OK . Police add the incident is ruled an accident. Fort Thomas’s superintendent says the school is working with police to add lighting, more reflective gear and personnel to make the area around the school safer for everyone.
