Fire Does About 25K In Damage Wednesday Evening

(700 WLW)- Firefighters responded for a report of a fire in an apartment at 500 block of East 13th Avenue, late Wednesday afternoon, just past 5 o'clock. Upon arrival, smoke was showing from the 3rd and 4th floors of a 4-story multi-dwelling apartment building. All occupants had exited the building prior to the fire department arrival. An aggressive interior attack, brought the fire under control in approximately 15 minutes. The fire was contained to the 2-story apartment of origin, with heavy smoke damage throughout the apartment and causing about $25,000 in damage. The Red Cross is assisting with the 1 Adult and 3 Children that were displaced by the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Cincinnati Fire Department Fire Investigation Unit.
