( Avondale ) - "Avondale's going in the right direction." That quote from Cincinnati City Councilman PG Sittenfeld on Monday after a groundbreaking ceremony was held at 3529 Reading Road, the Avondale Town Center.
That groundbreaking kicks of a $43 million redevelopment of the shopping center as the latest phase of a grant from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development that was received nearly five years ago.
This latest work, described as a public-private partnership, will bring both retail and apartments in a mixed-use facility that should be ready to go sometime in 2018.
