10 Year Old Struck By Vehicle In Wyoming

(700 WLW)- Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil and City of Wyoming Chief of Police Rusty Herzog report a serious injury crash involving a female juvenile that was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Springfield Pike at Wyoming Avenue which occurred in the City of Wyoming on Tuesday.

Brittany M. Roberto, female, age 36 of Cincinnati, Ohio was operating a 2015 Buick Encore, southbound on Springfield Pike in the right lane of travel approaching its intersection with Wyoming Avenue. A female juvenile, age 10 of Wyoming, Ohio was attempting to cross Springfield Pike at its intersection with Wyoming Avenue from the west to the east in a marked cross walk. Mrs. Roberto struck the female juvenile who sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash.

The City of Wyoming Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the female juvenile to the Children’s Hospital Medical Center where she is listed in stable condition. Mrs. Roberto was not injured in the crash.

Mrs. Roberto was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash. Speed, alcohol and drugs of abuse are not believed to have contributed to the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Traffic Safety Unit.
