UC Passes Resolution Ahead of Spencer Visit

(Cincinnati) He will be allowed to speak if he chooses to. The University of Cincinnati Board of Trustees has approved a resolution to stand with President Neville Pinto in allowing Richard Spencer to speak on campus.

Spencer is the white nationalist who was one of the featured speakers at the rally in Charlottesville, Virginia that ended with deadly violence.

Board members say they recognize the need to uphold the First Amendment and the fundamental role of free speech at a public university.

Spencer, so far, has not set a date for a visit.
