(Cincinnati, Oh.)--The Columbus Crew is reportedly considering a move to Texas.
Columbus Crew SC was the first charter granted in Major League Soccer MLS) in 1996 but now has one of the lowest average attendance in the league.
Precourt Sports Ventures, owns the Columbus Crew, is reportedly looking at relocating in Austin which would leave Ohio without a M-L-S team.
The move could give an unexpected boost to Cincinnati's efforts to land a major league soccer franchise.
Cincinnati is hoping to land an expansion franchise but has not worked out a deal for a soccer specific stadium yet. M-L-S will be awarding the new franchises in December.
