( University of Cincinnati ) - A statement was released Monday evening by the president of UC's undergraduate student body in response to last week's news that a white supremacist will be allowed to speak on campus.
The UC Board of Trustees decided to not prevent Richard Spencer from speaking after he and his representatives threatened a lawsuit. Bashir Emlemdi, student body president at UC, released a video and a statement saying "We reject Richard Spencer and his ideas and we plan to tell him so."
The exact date of Spencer's speech has not yet been finalized. The statement says students and community leaders plan a counter rally.
