( Colerain Twp ) - The Hamilton County Prosecutor says no charges will be filed against the off-duty police officer who fired shots at a bank robber earlier this year.
Investigators say Malcolm Jones (pictured above) and Nelson Jones were trying to rob the Key Bank on Springdale Road on May 22 when off-duty Mount Saint Joseph University Police Officer Carl Rauschenberger also tried to enter. Video shows Rauschenberger pulling a gun and ordering Nelson Jones to stand still. Officer Rauschenberger got into a shootout with Malcolm Jones before both suspects ran from the bank. Malcolm Jones was wounded.
Police later arrested Nelson Jones, but Malcolm Jones is still at large.
