( Hamilton County ) - Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters was a guest with Bill Cunningham on Wednesday, and discussed a variety of topics. Among them, Deters' announcement that he would not be filing charges against the convenience store clerk who killed a robbery suspect last week.
"He should get a medal, y'know, for getting rid of this guy who's sticking guns in people's faces, demanding their property," Deters said on 700WLW. 34-Year-Old Hananiah Israel (pictured above) was fatally shot by an employee at Sam's Quick Market on Harrison Avenue in South Fairmont. Deters reiterated a statement he's made in several similar cases, "if you walk into a store with a gun, you have forfeited your right not to be shot." He says he's not even going to present the case to a grand jury.
