UPDATE: Cincinnati Police have identified the man killed during an attempted robbery at the Sam's Quick Market on Harrison Avenue near Fairmount Avenue on Wednesday night.
Responding officers say they found 34-year-old Hananiah Israel suffering from a gunshot wound. He later succumbed to his injuries at UC Medical Center.

( South Fairmont ) - Police have confirmed a robbery occurred at the Sam's Quick Market on Harrison Avenue in South Fairmont late Wednesday night. Before the suspect could leave with any items or cash, he was shot by the store clerk and later died from those injuries at UC Medical Center. The investigation continues.
