Sentencing Delayed For Mom Who Faked Son's Cancer

(Cincinnati, OH)  --  Sentencing for a Cincinnati mom accused of faking her son's terminal cancer has been postponed. 

 Monika Burgett was convicted in August of faking her sons illness, going so far as to shave his head and raise funds online for his treatment.  

The 39-year-old was found guilty on Friday of misdemeanor charges of child endangering charge and felony count of telecommunications fraud.

The mother of three created two GoFundMe accounts featuring pictures of her son receiving treatment, that raised more than $40,000. 

The judge in the case says he needs more information for before handing down his sentence.
