(700 WLW)- On Monday at approximately 4:05 p.m. there was a vehicle and pedestrian collision near the intersection of Aero Parkway and Turfway Road near Florence, Kentucky sending a juvenile pedestrian to the hospital via Air Care with reported non-life-threatening injuries.
Eleven year old Anderson Carter of Florence, Kentucky was crossing near the intersection when he was struck by an oncoming 2001 Toyota Avalon operated by Jeffrey Clark, 25 of Burlington, Kentucky.
While the collision is still being investigated initial indicators are that Carter, who was running/training with members of his school running team, stepped out in traffic in front of the oncoming car.
