(700 WLW)- The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office reports a two vehicle traffic crash, which resulted in a fatality near 2650 Bartels Road, in Anderson Township, Thursday night just past 9 PM.
A 2007 Honda Civic operated by John Previty, a male age 89, of Cincinnati, OH was traveling northbound in the area of 2650 Bartels Road when he experienced a medical emergency. Mr Previty's vehicle crossed the center line and traveled into the path of a 1999 Acura TL, which was operating southbound. That vehicle was being driven by a female juvenile age 17, of Cincinnati, OH. The two vehicles collided in an offset head on manner. Both Mr Previty and and the female juvenile were extricated from the vehicles via non-mechanical means.
The Anderson Township Fire Department responded to the scene and transported Mr Previty and the juvenile to area hospitals. Mr Previty was pronounced deceased at Mercy Anderson Hospital. The juvenile was transported to the Cincinnati Children's Medical Center and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation and any witness are asked to contact the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit.
