(Northern, Kentucky)--A mandatory FAA Disaster Drill will be conducted at the Cincinnati Northern-Kentucky International Airport on Thursday, September 7.
Teams will simulate a disaster to test the airports emergency plan. The nighttime drill will start at: 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm at the CVG Field Maintenance facility. The incident site is not located on a runway and will include more than 100 volunteers, 30 ambulances and 12 fire engines.
The airport is reminding people to not be alarmed by the presence of smoke and emergency vehicles on Thursday evening.
CVG conducts several regular safety and security exercises to improve coordination with first responders.
