(700 WLW)- The Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol continues their investigation, after a fatal traffic crash involving one vehicle and a pedestrian. The crash occurred late Sunday night at approximately 10:49 P.M. on Wards Corner Road, near Loveland-Miamiville Road, in Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio.
Preliminary investigation shows that a 2009 BMW 335, operated by Robert McGeorge Jr., age 45, of Maineville, Ohio was traveling southwest on Wards Corner Road. Mr. McGeorge’s vehicle struck Nikki J. Cook, age 38, of Hamersville, Ohio.
Mr. McGeorge sustained no injuries as a result of the crash. Ms. Cook was transported by UC Air Care to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Ms. Cook was pronounced deceased at the hospital on September 4th, 2017 as a result of her injuries.
Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor at this time, as the investigation continues.
