(Walton, KY)--One man was killed, and two people were hospitalized after a three-vehicle collision Friday evening.
Boone County sheriff's deputies said that Charles Miles, 48, of Walton, was southbound on Dixie Highway and crossed over into the northbound lane. He hit an SUV, and then went back into the southbound lane and into a wooded area.
Miles was pronounced dead at the scene.
A car driving behind the SUV hit it after the initial collision.
A driver and passenger were taken to UC Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Three other people declined medical treatment.
Dixie Highway was closed about four hours during the investigation, but has since reopened.
