Five Hurt in Over-the-Rhine Apartment Fire

(Cincinnati, OH)--Four civilians and a firefighter were hurt early Saturday morning in a two-alarm apartment fire.

Fire units were called to 1719 Sycamore where they found heavy smoke on the first floor.  

They found the fire in a basement apartment , where they also found a teenage girl who was taken to Children's Hospital. She is listed in critical condition.

Three others were transported to UC Medical Center for various injuries, including leg cuts, a possible leg fracture and smoke inhalation. 

A firefighter was treated at the scene for a cut hand.

Fourteen people were displaced. 

The cause remains under investigation, and damage is set at $150,000.
