Western and Southerns Wraps Crowns Two New Champions

(Mason, OH)  --  The Western and Southern Open has two new champions.

Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov won the men's final and Spain's Garbine Muguruza claimed the women's title yesterday at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason.

Muguruza's win was her first on U.S. soil. The Wimbledon Champion needed just 55 minutes to dismantle Simona Halep 6-1, 6-0 on to win the championship match of Cincinnati's Western & Southern Open.

Muguruza will move up to world No. 3, while Halep would have supplanted Kristina Pliskova as the world's top player with a victory.

On the men's side, seventh-seeded Grigor Dimitrov beat Nick Kyrgios 6-3, 7-5 for his first ATP Masters title. It was Dimitrov's third tournament victory of the year.
