( Warren County ) - The prosecutor says a West Chester man has pleaded guilty to multiple counts involving a sexual relationship he had with a 13-year-old.
Investigators say 60-year-old John Hopkins met a 13-year-old on the Grindr app this past March, and the two communicated electronically for several days before meeting for sex in a parking lot in Lebanon. The parents of the teen contacted police after they found text messages between the juvenile and Hopkins on the teen's phone. From there, a detective pretended to be the teen, and set up a meeting with Hopkins at a hotel. Hopkins was arrested after he allegedly arrived at the hotel for that meeting.
A statement from Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell says police found nude pictures of the 13-year-old on Hopkins' phone.
Hopkins pleaded guilty Tuesday to three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and two counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material.
He'll be sentenced at a later date.
