Phase 3 of Brent Spence Bridge Project Underway

(Cincinnati, Oh)--The Brent Spence Bridge 2017 maintenance project has progressed to phase 3. Travel on the bridge has shifted from the outside lanes to the two eastern-most lanes.

Over weekend, maintenance crews completed the transition to Phase 3. Two-lane travel has resumed on the northbound and southbound decks of the bridge. During this phase the two eastern-most lanes on both decks of the bridge will be open for travel; the two western-most lanes on both decks are closed.

Drivers should plan ahead and know which lane they need to be in to reach their destinations.  Phase 3 is the last phase of work that requires two-lane closures on the bridge, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Maps are available here.

Once Phase 3 is complete, all four lanes and all exits closed for the project will reopen during daytime hours. Periodic nighttime-only lane closures are expected to continue on the bridge through mid-November.
