UPDATE: Just minutes before a scheduled vigil, the group "Support Ray Tensing" posted a statement on its Facebook page, calling off the planned gathering at the Purple People Bridge.
The post says there was an "ongoing threat of violence," and the event was being called off to avoid any violence. A subsequent post again re-affirms the group's support of the former UC police officer, and says a private event with security is being planned for Saturday.
A counter-protest to support Sam DuBose and his family was held on the bridge. Some pro-Tensing people did gather briefly in the same area. No reports of any violence between the two groups.

ORIGINAL STORY:
(Cincinnati) Hundreds gathered Saturday in support of Sam DuBose. Now, the former UC police officer, who went on trial twice for shooting him, is getting his own show of support as well.
Members of Support Ray Tensing and Blue Lives Matter will begin with a prayer at the Sawyer Point Pavilion at 6:00 before walking across the Purple People Bridge.
Lacy Robinson, one of the organizers of the event, says she spoke to the sister of Sam DuBose and explained her position. She says her intention is not to hurt the family. She says they want to see justice served and peace for both sides.
