(Cincinnati, OH)--About 200 people rallied and marched downtown Saturday, demanding justice for Sam DuBose.
DuBose was shot and killed by former UC Police Officer Ray Tensing during a Mt. Auburn traffic stop in 2015.
Tensing has faced trial two times, with both trials ending in hung juries.
Demonstrators gathered at Fountain Square, and then marched to The Banks. Organizers included the Countdown to Conviction Coalition, Black Lives Matter, and the AMOS Project.
"It's sad man, it's a sad day for the city that they let this slip through their hands. But we can't stop fighting man," said Aubrey DuBose, Sam's brother. "I appreciate you all coming out here and fighting for my brother."
Responding to a decision by Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters not to try Tensing a third time, Brian Taylor of Black Lives Matter said "We don't quit when the going gets tough. We're here for the duration until the DuBose family gets some semblance of justice."
Deters said last week that even though there will not be a third trial, he is asking the U.S. Department of Justice to consider possible civil rights charges.
Monday evening at 6 p.m., the "Support Ray Tensing" group plans a prayer walk and vigil. It will start at Sawyer Point, and the group will then walk across the Purple People Bridge. T-shirts will also be available to help support Tensing.
