( Middletown, OH ) - Middletown Police and the Butler County Sheriff’s Office say indictments were obtained against 28 suspects who have been involved in drug activity in the city.
These indictments are the result of a months long investigation by the Middletown Police Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and the Butler County Regional Task Force (BURN). It all started after multiple complaints from the public about drug activity.
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said, “We are excited to be a part of this drug arrest round-up with the City of Middletown. It is imperative that agencies work together to get these drug dealers off our streets and out of our communities. It is always effortless working with Chief Muterspaw and we look forward in continuing this effort in the future.”
Middletown Police Chief Rodney Muterspaw said, “Once again, the merger between the Butler County Sheriff’s Office and MPD is paying off. We really work well together. We are really happy with the hard work and effort by the Special Operations, BURN team and patrol division, but without our community speaking out against drug dealers we wouldn’t be able to do this. More is coming, I promise you that.”
