Federal Charges for 16 in Alleged Fentanyl Ring

( Cincinnati ) - A federal indictment has been announced with 16 people facing charges for allegedly distributing a power painkiller.

The suspects allegedly distributed more than 400 grams of fentanyl from this past September to this past June. US Attorney Benjamin Glassman says some of the defendants sold the drug, others were packagers, some laundered money, and more.

Facing federal charges involving drugs, guns, and money crimes are:

  • 24-year-old Edmond Christian Hurt of Cincinnati
  • 26-year-old Chaz Niko Jones of Cincinnati
  • 44-year-old Shonda Denise Jones of Cincinnati
  • 29-year-old Christhoper Javar Mathews of Cincinnati
  • 24-year-old Mykeal Dawshawn Parker of Cincinnati
