( Cincinnati ) - Routine maintenance work that's backed up interstate traffic for weeks continues, and it's about to change.
Crews are going to transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2 this weekend. That means lane closures will shift to the center lanes of the Brent Spence Bridge.
Starting Friday, July 20, at 9pm, travel on southbound I-75 will be cut down to one lane across the bridge so workers can move barriers and re-stripe the lanes. That lane shift work is expected to be complete by 5am on Monday, July 24.
This work will only affect the upper deck of the bridge; the southbound side. A similar shift on the northbound, lower deck, is planned, but not scheduled yet.
