(Cincinnati, OH)--Heavy thunderstorms moved through the Tri-State Friday afternoon and evening, and caused numerous power outages.
At one point, over 43,000 Duke Energy customers were without service.
A large number remained without power overnight into Saturday morning. The utility was hoping to restore service by 6:00 a.m. in most areas.
During the height of the outages, Duke customers in Delhi, East Westwood and Clifton were most severely impacted.
There were multiple reports of trees and wires down, with traffic lights also affected. There were several warnings and watches, all of which expired by midnight.
