They caught him taking a joy ride. Officers on routine patrol spotted lights coming from within an enclosed fence line of Bud Herbert Motors around 1 a.m. Thursday. When they pulled into the lot they found 29-year-old Demetrius Hill operating a John Deere Tractor in the lot. Hill fled on foot before officers found him climbing a fence on Spring Grove Avenue and gave Hill commands to stop or he would be tased, but he disregarded those commands and continued to flee towards Spring Grove Avenue. One of the officers deployed his taser and a highly intoxicated Hill was taken into custody without further incident.
At the Justice Center Mr. Hill refused initial booking procedures and refused to enter the Hamilton County Justice Center prior to being searched. Hill was charged with Breaking and Entering and Obstructing Official Business. Additionally officers found Hill had one misdemeanor warrant and six misdemeanor capias.
